The Chaffin-Ruhe ticket is working tirelessly to engage with students through attending events around campus and speaking at Hall Governments, but we realize that we may not reach everyone. If you’d like for us to attend one of your events or meet with you one-on-one, please contact our campaign manager Tori Schafer and we will do our best to make it!

Steven Chaffin - President & Presidential Candidate

Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, Steven is a sophomore studying Political Science with a minor in Economics and Philosophy. In his time at Mizzou, Steven has assumed a multitude of roles on campus both inside and outside of the Residence Halls Association. As President, he has been committed to improving the organization internally so that it will be better equipped to solve real issues facing students in the future. For the remainder of his term he plans to focus on increasing transparency in the organization, pushing for a more reliable laundry service for students and establishing more formalized relationships with organizations such as the Legion of Black Collegians and the Four Front Minority Student Council.

  • RHA Finance Coordinator (Spring Semester 2014)

  • Participated in MizzouThon, Mizzou Alternative Breaks, Relay for Life and Caring for Columbia (Spring 2014)

  • Member of the National Residence Halls Honorary (Spring 2014-present)

  • RHA President (Spring 2014-present)

  • Legislative Intern for the Associated Students of the University of Missouri (Spring 2015-present)

Nina Ruhe - Vice Presidential Candidate

From Cleveland, OH, Nina is a freshman studying Broadcast Journalism and Business. So far at MU, Nina has participated as a humor columnist at The Maneater, an anchor and reporter for MUTV and is the current Chairwoman of the RHA Operations Committee. As Chairwoman of Operations, she has dealt with students, student staff members, hall coordinators and other residents in funding events, passing legislation and overall working towards improving residential living.
